Many things have happened in the life of our family since my last post. A single thread runs through all of them: God’s Grace Still Flows.
The lamentation offered in the last post ended with the declaration that God had to do something amazing, if not miraculous, for our family to stay intact. I am overjoyed and humbled to say that God did indeed work in amazing ways. Our family survived and, by God’s providence, overwhelmingly conquered what threatened to do us great harm.
I am still not at liberty to go into too much detail given that the entire situation centered around the placement of our foster son whom we have had in our care for 25 of his 27 months on this earth. In the next few weeks, Lord willing, we will consummate the adoption of a child who has been our son since the first day we brought him home from the NICU. God has indeed done something great!
Once the adoption is finalized, I will share more and more about our adventure with our son. I want to share this story for a few reasons. First, there may be other people out there facing the possibility or reality of an extreme loss in their life that may find it encouraging or comforting. Second, I want you to discover or be reminded of the greatness and grace of the God of the Bible, the One True, Living God.
Until then, may God bless and keep you.
